A winner godfather ! Julien Benneteau, Davis Cup winner last year sponsor the world event of university tennis 2018. Born in Bourg-en-Bresse, in Auvergne Rhône-Alpes, like Grenoble city host of the Master’U BNP Paribas, Benneteau stopped his pro carreer only last month after 20 years on courts. Henceforth, he will be the France FedCup captain and for few days, our godfather !

The Irish players Peter Bothwell and Simon Carr (the two first from the right) who participated to the 12th Master’U BNP Paribas in Marcq-en-Barœul, are selected to play with the Davis Cup team.

Sixth of the Master’U with their country, Peter and Simon will travel in Denmark for the Group II Europe/ Africa first round on the 3rd and 4th February 2018.

If Peter has ever play with the Irish Davis Cup team, Simon will make his debut ! Go lads !
