The French University Sport Federation is an association governed by the law of 1901, placed under the supervision of the Ministry of Higher Education and Research and in agreement with the Ministry of Sports, the Youth and Associative Life.
Its missions are :
- To organize and to promote the sport of competition for all students of the local level at the international level
- To deliver the National and Regional titles in University sport
- To select and to manage the French university teams during the international competitions (World Student Games, World championships, international matches)
- To form leaders, managers, judges and referees
The FFSU has 100 306 members, stemming from 720 affiliated sports associations (source 2011)
FFSU is managed by a National Direction, 28 regional Committees (1 by academy) and governed by 1 Executive committee of 24 members (12 student and 12 non students)
The French Tennis Federation is an association governed by the law of 1901, in responsibility by ministerial delegation :
- To promote, to organize and to develop the tennis in France: tennis in clubs, education, raining, individual and team competition, French championships
- To gather the affiliated clubs, to encourage and to support their efforts, to coordinate their activities.
She also insures the representation of France by the commitment of the French teams in international matches (Davis Cup, Fed Cup, Olympics) and the organization of big tournaments as French Championships of Roland-Garros and BNP Paribas Masters which held in the Paris-Bercy sports center.
The FFT gathers more 1 100 000 members, stemming of 8 217 affiliated clubs (source 2011)
